Nine Noble Virtues |

This plaque has the Nine Noble Virtues carved using the Elder Futhark. The dragons on either side are carved in the "Ringerike" style, which is one that I favor. The base stain is dark walnut, with a finish coat of golden oak to provide richer color. There is one flaw in the rune work, which can be seen in the enlarged picture. A lesson to the carver when working with runes, check spelling twice cut once. The size of this plaque is 8x10. |

This tray features the Nine Noble Virtues, but carved in English. The Axes on either side of the tray just felt right. The tray is stained using a combination of Golden Oak and Dark Walnut to give the light/dark effect. The size of this tray is 9 x 12. |
