Thor's Hammers 2 |

![]() |
This hammer is another traditional Thor's Hammer, stained using Red Oak, and finished with a satin finish. | |
|
This Thor's Hammer is carved on an 8x10 plaque, with a half-rounded bottom (the shape I like for Thor's Hammer carvings). It is stained using a new stain I found called Special Walnut, which has a lighter color than the Dark Walnut. The inspiration for this Hammer was partially from Hammers found in Scandinavia, while the knot work in the center comes from the Hammer I wear every day. |

Mjolnir, also known as Thor's Hammer, is shown in this carving. This was the first carving I ever did. Each of the Hammer's that I have carved were created from scratch, and not from a book. My inspiration may come from the many images of hammers available today, but each hammer is essentially unique. This hammer is also stained in Golden Oak and is a 8x10 plaque. |

Another carving of Mjolnir. This one was deliberately carved to have a cleaner "feel" than my first one. Using the Elder Futhark, Thor is spelled at the bottom of this plaque. This one is stained with Colonial Maple and is a 7x9 plaque. |

| Coming back to my favorite, this Thor's Hammer is my favorite I've come up with to date. It actually has 2 hammers, one inside the other. The inner hammer features some scrollwork, and an eagle at the top. The plaque is 8x10, and is stained using Golden Oak and Dark Walnut. | ||
| Check back soon! I am looking at more plate designs, table coasters, boxes, and other plaques. If you don't see it, but you want it...email me!! | ||
